The Crestview News Bulletin published a story today that is the first of a three part series about my plans to expand property I own with my partner, Bob Keller. Crestview Technology Air Park (CTAP) is a 20 acre tract of strategic Crestview real estate situated at the end of the Bob Sikes Airport runway which holds great promise for the creation of 200-600 new jobs for our community.
Bob and I are thrilled to be actively planning the building of a 60,000 sq. ft. flagship commercial hanger, the largest of its kind in Okaloosa County. Capable of supporting any airplane in the U.S. military fleet including the C-130 and C-17, the master plan for Crestview Technology Air Park will include constructing additional hangers and office space to further accommodate facility needs for long term tenants. Potential use of CTAP is not limited to defense companies. Commercial customers, like Airbus or Boeing, can also take advantage of the CTAP location.
Currently the CTAP campus boasts an impressively appointed 20,000 sq. ft. hanger and office facilities housing Sunshine Aero, an aeronautical engineering test flight operation that enjoys the special through-the-fence connection to 8000 feet of airport runway. The property also includes two 25,000 sq. ft. manufacturing buildings on the industrial park side of the site. Located in the Okaloosa County Enterprise Zone, the property enjoys attractive tax incentives, a low cost workforce and ample training support. The close proximity to the I-10 interstate and several military installations are key features as well. Read more about our vision here.
